Where can I serve?

Jesus told us, His disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Faith Bible Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Faith Bible Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as cleaning the church, to preparing the church bulletins, and preparing for our post-worship fellowship.

Mission Outreach

Faith Bible Church is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in supporting missionaries with our money and with our prayers. Faith Bible Church supports missionaries to India and Mexico, as well as other organizations dedicated to preaching the Word and protecting our religious liberties.  We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.
Music

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of Faith Bible Church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God. If you would like to get involved with the music ministry at Faith Bible Church, contact our Praise Team leader by e-mail at greg.camp@fbcrio.org

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Faith Bible Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service, one of the elders offers prayers requested by the congregation. Throughout the week, volunteers in our Prayer team pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.

Children’s Church

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Faith Bible Church holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from puppet shows, to games, to object lessons.

Woman’s Sunshine Committee

Mission Statement: To use our gifts to grow and mature in faith; to build connections with other women through outreach, in-reach, bible study, fellowship, and discipleship. Let us remain humbly dependent on the work in and through us to accomplish His work. 1 Peter 4:8-11 is what we base our actions.

The Sunshine Committee is made up of woman who seek to serve the church, the community, and ultimately, our Lord. They help hold church events such as bonfires, ice cream socials, hymn singing, and retreats. The committee may help provide food during times of hardship such as the loss of a loved one, health issues, or for other situations for people in need. There are many different opportunities within the committee to serve!

The Sunshine Committee meets every 2nd Sunday of the month right after the church service.
