Good morning everyone. In Psalm 95 the psalmist tells us to sing for joy to the God of creation. To “bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker” He tells his fellow Israelites not to harden their hearts like their forefathers who because of their unbelief would never enter God’s rest. Hebrews 4:3. Then in Ezekiel 14 we see the elders coming to Ezekiel for counsel. But God sees the idols they have in their hearts. He says the only message He has for them is to “repent”. God mentions Job with Daniel and Noah. Three real people who’s righteous would only save them and no one else. When God destroys Jerusalem and the survivors come to Babylon, the exiles there will see their conduct and be “consoled” about the necessity of the destruction of the city. Sometimes we have to see actions before our eyes and not just hear of it to understand. In Matthew 16 the Pharisees and Sadducees asked for a sign and Jesus told them His crucifixion would be the only sign they would see. Jesus warned the disciples about the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees and then asked them who the people thought He was: Then Jesus asked them who the disciples thought He was. Peter said, “You are the Christ the Son of the living God.” I hope all who read this believe the same thing Peter did. God bless you all.
