Good morning everyone. The Psalmist in Psalm 93 speaks of God’s majesty and strength. In verse 2 he tells us God’s throne “was established long ago; you are from all eternity.” This is a verse that points to God’s eternal existence. Then we come to Ezekiel 12 where God tells Ezekiel (back in Babylon) to pack his things like he is going into exile. Then at night dig through an earthen wall. God uses visual symbols to make his point at times. This was to show the exiles in Babylon that the final destruction of Jerusalem was very near and not far off. In Matthew 14 we have the brief account of how Herodias, Herod’s brother’s wife wanted John the Baptist put to death and used her daughter to get it. After Jesus fed the 5,000 he comes latter that night to the disciples walking on water. Peter boldly asks to be able to walk and meet Jesus but sinks when he observed the wind and the waves. He had taken courage but soon became afraid. Let us not be afraid in this difficult time but keep our eyes on Jesus the eternal God. God bless you all dear people.
